About

Calm, not shouty. Firm, not rude.

Parking tickets are designed to make you pay quickly. Pushback slows things down just long enough to check whether you should.

Private parking companies asked the DVLA for drivers' details 16.9 million times in 2025/26, a record (DVLA data reported by the RAC). Some of those tickets are fair. Plenty aren't: notices that arrive too late, signs nobody could read, a typo in a registration that the industry's own code says must be cancelled.

The rules that protect drivers exist (the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012, the industry's Single Code of Practice, the regulations councils must follow), but they're written for lawyers and parking operators, not for someone holding a letter at the kitchen table.

What we do

Pushback turns those rules into a short set of questions. We do the date arithmetic (working days, bank holidays and all), tell you honestly which grounds you have, and assemble a firm, polite letter from paragraphs we've written and checked against the sources. Before you pay, we check the photos of your notice and the signs against your answers, so the letter matches what's in front of you. Then we stay with you: reminders before each deadline, and the next letter if they say no.

What we don't do

  • We don't give legal advice, and we're not solicitors.
  • We don't represent anyone, contact parking companies for you, or go to court.
  • We don't promise you'll win, and we don't publish success rates we can't back up. When we've collected enough real, reported outcomes, we'll share them, clearly labelled.
  • We never write anything untrue, and we'll never ask you to name the driver.

Who we are

Pushback is run in the UK as part of Highfold Group, which builds small, single-purpose tools for everyday problems. Questions or feedback? Write to us. We read everything.
